Meniskus Compression knee brace pad with half friction ring with adjustable silicone pressure for the treatment of meniscales. Exclusive knitting without striction in the popliteal hollow

Function

By individually positioning the pressure truss pads 1 alongside the patellar tendon, the meniscus knee support increases the intra-articular pressure and thereby achieve a measured relief of the meniscus.

The specific U-shaped friction truss pad builds up a dosed pressure in the upper area of the knee-joint capsule to massage the swelling-prone capsule end when the knee is moved.

Indications

_ Degenerative meniscus damage

_ Squeezed meniscus

_ Torn meniscus

_ With residual swelling in the area of the upper recessus

Post-operative:

_ Following arthroscopic surgical interventions in the kneejoint area

_ To compress the arthroscopic access

_ With post-operative swelling

Contra- indications

Generally speaking you should see the doctor treating you about the indication and method of wearing an orthopaedic aid and if you have the following conditions:

_ Allergic, inflammatory or lesion-specific skin alterations (e.g. swelling, reddening) of the body areas being treated.

_ Impaired circulation or lymphatic soft tissue swelling.

_ Neurogenically-specific organoleptic and skin trophic disor ders in the body area being treated (sensory disorders with and without skin damage).

So far no consequential incompatibilities or allergic reactions have been reported.

Side-eff ects

To date, there have been no reports of serious general side effects with proper use and fitting.

Local pressure symptoms and impaired circulation can be prevented with sufficient certainty on an individual basis if allowance is made for any contraindications and with non-restrictive, consistently shaped shaped body fitting.

Fitting

_ Pull the support over the knee in such a manner that the U-shaped friction truss pad is seated above the kneecap.

_ Fold the lower end of the support upwards towards the tibia facing side.

_ The lower end of the inner lining has not been sewn on.

Reach in between the inner lining and the support to locate two white pressure pads that are held in place by

Velcro fasteners.

_ Place these pressure pads on the hood-side of the Velcro fastener in such a manner that they are positioned exactly alongside the patellar tendon in the soft pits of the Hoffa’s fat pad when the support is folded back.

_ Check that the support is correctly seated after it has been folded back.
