The articulated hip brace is an excellent support for stabilising a hip joint fitted with a plastic endoprosthesis.

The endoprosthesis is often the result of a degenerative disease involving destruction of the joint cartilage, joint capsule and other tissues. There are bones, called osteophytes, on the head of the femur and on the acetabular surface. Osteophytes usually restrict joint movement and cause pain.
The hip joint is a ball with the head of the femur inside the acetabulum. The reasons for degeneration of the joint may be its poor structure, growth disorders or injury. It can also be caused by metabolic disorders such as osteoporosis or overweight.
Our hip brace with articulated lateral splint is a crucial element in the rehabilitation period after joint replacement.
The lateral splint supports the joint and prevents it from undesirable movements: excessive adduction of the hip, flexion or rotation, which can lead to the insertion of an endoprosthesis. In these cases, surgery is necessary.
Our hip orthosis is used after surgery, thereby limiting the risk of damage to the endoprosthesis.

The hip brace is made of the structural material called ActivePren™ and ActiveDistance™.
The hip brace has a wrap-around design for a perfect fit. The hip and thigh belt has a wide circumference adjustment range, thanks to which the brace can be adapted to different body types.
In addition, the brace is equipped with a lateral splint made of high-quality sandblasted aluminium, which makes it neutral to the influence of sweat and salts. The splint is covered by a special side pocket, making it easy to wash.
What's more, the product has non-slip silicone to prevent it from moving during use.
