Hip stabilisation bandage Cross straps for sports activities for example
Sport and exercise are good for everyone, but they can sometimes be accompanied by pain and physical problems. Even some of the strongest areas of the body can be injured or damaged if a person is not properly prepared.
One of the joints most at risk is the hip. It is one of the strongest and most stable parts of the body. It is the joint between the femur and the acetabulum of the pelvis, and its main function is to support the weight of the body in static (e.g. standing) and dynamic (e.g. walking or running) postures. The high degree of mobility of the hip requires the cartilage to cushion each movement. Over time, the cartilage can be damaged, particularly when the hip is overused and the person puts a lot of pressure on it. Hip injury can also result from contact sports or a fall onto one's side.
A number of different conditions can cause hip pain in athletes. One of the most common is osteoarthritis, also known as wear-and-tear arthritis. Active people can also suffer from muscle injuries (strains or sprains), soft tissue inflammation (tendonitis, bursitis), cartilage damage, bone fractures and bruising.
Our hip brace is also equipped with two crossed straps made of orthopaedic rubber. These straps have the following features
improve hip abduction
control hip flexion and extension
control excessive hip adduction
maintain the hip in the required internal or external rotation
protect muscles against strains and sprains
Universal sizing, innovative design, crossed straps and many other benefits make our brace the best protection for your hip when you play sport!
