Jousto-peroneal orthosis is meant to use when person suffer a limp ankle which is result from injury of peroneal nerve.

Jousto-brace function is based on spring bundle. When walking Jousto-brace actively support and lift up foot blade in swing point of leg (dorsiflexion). When a heel hit the ground Jousto-brace gives ankle to straighten out (pantarflexion) and spring bundle softs the stretch move making walking natural. Becouse of Jousto-brace construction the calf band is not pumping up and down when walking. That’s why it does not bother calf. Jousto-brace is easy to move from one shoe to another and it’s quite undetected.

Jousto-peroneal orthosis consists of plastic foot plate, supporting side steel , calf band and spring bundle. Side steel and calf band is made of stainless steel. Spring bundle is made of spring steel and the whole Jousto-brace is covered with black or beige plastic.

Because of these materials Jousto is very easy to fit individually to a patient. Jousto-braces can upkeep and it can be changed parts if needed.
