Pediatric Anti-Flexion Orthosis (AFO)

Orthosis manufactured with a rigid 4 mm high density polyethylene structure, non-slip sole, Velcro straps for dorsal flexion regulation and an inner foam lining.
It functions as a progressive positional splint, to prevent equinus feet and when there is prolonged bed rest to prevent muscle shortening, especially at the level of the plantar flexor muscles.

Indications: It is indicated to increase and/or maintain the range of dorsiflexion and to control the ankle during the night.
Avoid plantar flexion by keeping the ankle as close to a neutral position as possible for each patient, passively stretching the plantar fascia and calf musculature during the night period.
