The carpometacarpal joint of the thumb, called saddle joint, is one of the most movable joints in human body. Because of that, it is prone to injuries and conditions. The joint incorporates 5 movement in different planes: abduction and adduction, opposition and retrooposition and circumduction. Sport brace ActivSport is created for joint protection. It is made of anatomic glove and equipped with set of elastic straps, which are easy to attach and allow to set thumb in the required position.
The abduction thumb brace holds wrist circumferential strap guaranteeing proper joint compression and 2 elastic tapes, which abduct the thumb. The device enables to set the thumb in the required abduction position. The brace is very easy to putting on and off.
The brace is made of unique, innovative fabrics.
First is called ProFit™.
ProFit™ is a double-layer fabric that is elastic in all directions and fits to limb precisely. External side is made of spandex providing excellent compression and absorbs muscles shocks in physical activity. Internal side consists of micofibre, cotton and elastane what makes it skin-friendly, breathable and provides velvet softness. ProFit™ is friendly and neutral for the skin and has Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate.
Our second fabric is ActivSpace™. It is a spacer, polyamide 3D lamination with high skin ventilation. It is very lightweight, consisted of 2 layers. Between them, we use polyamide braids with 4 mm width. ActivSpace is not elastic what improves stabilization. Inside the lamination, between 2 layers, the air flows freely, maintaining minimal water and moisture absorption.
ActivSpace is a high, innovative fabric. It wicks sweat rapidly away from the skin to the outside and increases the comfort of sport trainings and daily activities.
